Position Overview: The role of an Administrative Assistant is to assist teaching faculty members in the administration and monitoring of academic courses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of Records & necessary correspondence.
  • Maintain confidential faculty personnel records, files, student feedback, marksheets and grades.
  • Compose correspondence, reports, and/or letters. Offer Administrative support.
  • Provide administrative support for the faculty member(s) such as responding to queries in person and on call, directing visitors, routing mail, etc.
  • Provide ready access to all relevant information and data to faculty researcher.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Assist with preparation of all educational, training workshops and management development programme. Creation & Maintenance of data
  • Maintain faculty databases, conduct research, compile statistics, gather and compute various data; prepare special reports, summaries, etc.
  • Review and edit data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
  • Prepare, maintain and update website materials Effective Interdepartmental Coordination.
  • Interface with the Library, IT and other departments.
  • Reserve classrooms and set up equipment. Invigilation Duties & Student Assignments.
  • Invigilate quizzes and examinations and assist faculty member in the assessment of student knowledge.
  • Collect student assignments.

Essential Qualification & Skills:

Graduation / Masters Degree Qualification

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience preferably in an academic institution
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications. Complete knowledge of MS Office is necessary.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and good Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.

Position Overview: The role of an Academic Associate offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior academicians, contribute to curriculum development, engage with students, and learn the intricacies of research and academics.

Key Responsibilities:

A)  Academic Assistance to the Faculty:

·  Assist faculty in preparation of course outlines, setting up timetables, participate in area discussions, etc. Provide support for in-     class lessons, online classes, student assessment as well as invigilation.

·  Offer assistance with preparation of all educational material for training and Management Development Program.

·  Attend academic sessions of course instructor as and when required for grading of class participation. Manage course folders and interface with various departments regularly for classroom reservation, equipment set-up, etc.

B)  Research:

·  Opportunity to assist faculty in ongoing research projects and get research exposure.

·  Collect and analyse data as required by faculty research & prepare, maintain and update website material.

·  Review and edit data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information and provide ready access to all relevant information and data to faculty researcher.

·  Write and contribute to publications.

C)  Student Management:

·  Supervise students working on research projects and guide them.

·  Take attendance of students present for a class session.

·  Distribute course material and collect assignments.

Essential Qualification & Skills:

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Master’s degree in any discipline or a related field (PhD degree is a plus and will be given preference)

·         Eye for detail

·         Ability to multi-task

·         Proficiency in MS-Office and tools like Excel, Word and Power-Point

·         Ownership driven attitude, Proactive

Position Overview: The Research Associate at theCentre for Public Policy & Governance (CPPG) at Goa Institute of Management will contribute to impactful research and outreach focused on social responsibility, inclusion, decent work and sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:

·         The research associate is primarily responsible to do research.

·         Maintain databases.

·         Coordinate across departments.

·         Interface with external organisations and people with regard to activities of the Centre.

·         Co-work with faculty (about 8 members of the Centre) and administration.

Essential Qualification & Skills:

·         A sound academic background with an M.Phil., MA, M.S., MBA, or equivalent in any of the disciplines - economics, sociology, social work, development economics, management, political science, public policy, development studies, geography, philosophy, law, commerce, humanities is necessary. Knowledge and interest in one or more of the domains in public policy (healthcare, public health, education, physical infrastructure, other public service delivery, tourism, local government, economic development, regulation is highly desirable.

·       Excellent communication skills in written and in spoken English are necessary. Relevant work experience of a year or more would carry much weight. Skills in the use of Office, (including Excel) would be necessary.
