Position Overview:  The Assistant Manager - Corporate Relations & Placement will play a crucial role in supporting the Manager by driving corporate engagement and building lasting relationships with top companies and start-ups. This position will focus on expanding the institution’s corporate network, managing placement activities, and ensuring GIM students are placed in reputable organizations both in India and internationally. The incumbent will be responsible for regular visits to corporates, establishing new partnerships, and creating strategic opportunities for student placements and internships.

Corporate Engagement & Relationship Building

          Develop and nurture strong relationships with key corporate partners, HR heads, and recruitment leaders to secure placement opportunities for students.

          Regularly visit existing and potential corporate partners to understand their recruitment needs, promote GIM students, and foster long-term collaborations.

          Establish and maintain relationships with a diverse range of companies, including leading corporations, mid-sized firms, and start-ups, across various industries.

          Ensure that GIM maintains a strong presence in the corporate sector by engaging with new and emerging companies annually.

Corporate Outreach & New Account Acquisition

          Proactively identify and approach new corporate clients (including start-ups) to introduce GIM’s placement services and secure placement opportunities for students.

          Build a strong portfolio of corporate accounts year on year, expanding the range of industries and organizations hiring GIM students.

          Conduct regular outreach campaigns targeting new sectors, expanding the placement pool and creating a diversified set of opportunities for students.

          Lead structured market outreach initiatives to drive new client acquisitions, ensuring that placement accounts grow annually.

Internship & Placement Coordination

          Facilitate internships with top corporates for students, ensuring that these internships align with their academic and career goals.

          Oversee the internship process from initiation to final placement, ensuring students gain relevant corporate exposure.

          Support and guide students throughout the placement process, including pre-placement preparation, interview coordination, and follow-ups with recruiters.

          Assist in the organization of campus recruitment events, career fairs, and corporate presentations.

Industry & Start-up Engagement

          Cultivate relationships with emerging start-ups, (SMEs), and fast-growing industries to diversify placement opportunities and increase student exposure to innovative work environments.

          Facilitate strategic partnerships and collaborations that promote student innovation, including internships, project collaborations, and recruitment activities.

          Stay informed on industry trends and emerging markets to align placement activities with current and future job market demands.

Strategic Placement Planning

          Assist in the development of annual placement strategies that focus on expanding corporate partnerships and improving placement outcomes.

          Create and implement a dynamic placement plan to attract top recruiters and ensure the most successful placement of students.

          Review and analyse placement data to track trends, identify areas of growth, and strategically expand placement reach across different sectors.

Database Management & Reporting

          Maintain and update a comprehensive database of corporate contacts, recruiters, and placement opportunities.

          Generate regular reports on the status of corporate partnerships, new acquisitions, and placement activities.

          Monitor the progress of corporate engagement strategies and provide feedback to the Corporate Relations & Placement Manager on potential areas for improvement.

Position Overview: A Junior Civil Engineer assists in the design, development, and maintenance of construction projects such as buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure. The role involves both office-based technical work and on-site supervision to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

  •  Ensure effective coordination with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth execution of construction activities
  • Facilitate clear communication to align site activities with project plans and timelines
  • Work closely with the Project Engineer and Head of Projects to implement instructions and resolve site issues promptly

Site Supervision

 

·         Supervise day-to-day site activities to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and methodologies

·          Monitor adherence to construction processes and ensure all vendors follow defined standards

·          Ensure project milestones are achieved as per schedule while maintaining productivity at site

·          Support site investigations and assist in technical and feasibility assessments

Billing & Estimation

 

  •  Verify contractor bills and ensure accuracy in measurements and quantities
  • Conduct joint measurements at site for validation and future reference
  • Support preparation and review of engineering computations and cost-related estimates
  • Ensure transparency and accuracy in all billing-related documentation

Quality Assurance & Compliance

 

·         Monitor quality control processes including field and lab testing of materials

·         Inspect reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, and finishing works to ensure compliance with standards

The Centre works at the intersection of healthcare management, policy, and systems thinking to support evidenceinformed decision-making and innovation in health systems design.

Key Responsibilities:

Position Summary

 The Research Officer will lead and contribute to research initiatives that advance the Centre's mission of strengthening health systems through rigorous evidence generation and policy engagement. This role is suited for early to mid-career researchers with demonstrated expertise in health systems research methods and a growing track record of academic output. The incumbent will work closely with Centre leadership, faculty, and external partners to design and execute research projects, develop funding proposals, and translate research findings into policy-relevant outputs.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1.      Research Design & Implementation

• Lead and contribute to health systems research projects from conceptualization to completion

• Design research protocols, methodologies, and data collection instruments • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis using appropriate research methods

• Ensure research quality, ethical compliance, and adherence to project timelines

• Supervise and mentor research assistants and field teams 2. Grant Development & Fundraising

• Identify funding opportunities aligned with Centre priorities

• Develop competitive grant applications and research proposals

• Prepare budgets, work plans, and technical documentation for funding submissions

2.      Knowledge Translation & Dissemination

·         Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals

3.      Strategic & Partnership Support

Essential Qualification & Skills:

Qualifications

• Master's degree (essential) in any of the following:

o Economics/ Health Economics o Global Health/ Health Policy and Systems

o Public Health

Experience & Skills

• At least 4-6 years of post-qualification research experience in health systems & policy research / related areas

• Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed journals

• Experience in grant writing and contributing to research funding proposals

• Strong expertise in health systems research methods (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods)

• Experience developing policy briefs or translating research for non-academic audiences

 • Proficiency in statistical/analytical software (Stata, R, Python, NVivo, or similar)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment

• Self-motivated with strong organizational and project management skills

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience working with government health departments or policy institutions

 • Knowledge of Indian health systems and policy landscape
